I seriously do not understand how people survive without coffee. I typically have at least one cup a day, sometimes more. When I work from home I am blessed to have a Ninja Coffee Bar so I can make as much or as little as I want without much fuss. Some days I will literally make a half carafe of coffee and drink it all before lunch. On office work days I usually make a stop at the Dunkin up the road for a large iced coffee.
Now, my husband HATES coffee, its actually kind of upsetting (love you Matt!). Every once in awhile I convince him to try a sip and every time his reaction is the same. He makes a face and says “It tastes beany”. I always poke fun at him because beany is 10,000% not a word. Regardless, he does not like coffee.
I have another friend who will drink her coffee black (personally, I have zero clue how she does it and am thoroughly amazed that she doesn’t die from the bitterness). I am a big proponent of cream in my coffee at a minimum, and preferably a flavored cream at that. Basically my drink is 30% cream (sometimes more) and 70% coffee (sometimes less).
The more I think about this the more I realize how cool it is that God created us so that we all have our own unique flavor preferences. Think about it, there is NO ONE out there who has the EXACT same preferences as you. Sure, there are people who have similar preferences and tastes but not one of them will have the exact same preferences as you. HOW STINKING COOL IS THAT? I cannot even fully process this idea. There are SO MANY people on this earth and not one of them can replace me or you.
Have you ever taken the time to think about this? What’s your latest “God Moment”? I’d love to hear about it!
PS. The lovely cup of coffee featured above is from Quills Coffee in Indianapolis, Indiana!
